It's like life in any other city, and particularly like life in Miami; traffic, honking, a bit of air pollution, hot weather with a bit of humidity and afternoon rain storms, decent views of the water obscured by building projects, etc.
I find that I don't drive nearly as much, its much too easy to take taxis, or rent a car/driver combo for a while--and no, I am not made of $$. For about what one would pay for insurance in the U.S., one can have a chauffeur. You won't be riding in a Bentley, but you won't have to navigate the hellish traffic.
I find that my eating habits change, just because of what is fresh and available in the markets. More 'tropical' fruits (here, they're local--and apples are not,) more pork, more rice and beans... All tasty and good for you; of course, you can find all your fave boxed-up, no-cook American stuff if you want it...
Wake up with coffee, run the dogs, eat breakfast, and cuddle up to my computer for a day of reading and writing--my life is pretty much the same regardless of where I am, the scenery is largely the only thing that changes. I may be in the mountains, I may be at the beach, I may be in the city--as long as I've got coffee, puppies, sunblock, a floppy hat and some form of electronic communication (I have been known to go unplugged, however, with the original notebook made of paper,) I am a happy camper.
