Here is a link to maps of Panama which were put up by a Panama Forum member several months ago. The bottom map shows the agriculture and commercial locations in Panama.

From this you can see some of the agricultural activities coffee, bananas, sugarcane etc. This may give you a bit of an idea of farming areas and what is traditionally grown there extensively. I understand that there are many other crops grown there. I did a search in Wikipedia and this link gives a number of other links regarding some of the agricultural activites.
